On Feb. 28, orchestra students have the chance to participate in the state level of the solo and ensemble contest. According to director of orchestras Thomas Chen, the participation in the state level competition is based on the scoring from the previous competition.
“If the people who went to the highest level got golds (on Feb. 14), they have the ability to go on to the state level,” Chen said.
According to Amelia Riegel, violin player and sophomore, students get many opportunities to practice during school, such as during SSRT.
