Artist’s Association’s club officers are planning to showcase fruit drawings created by the club members in the school library on March 18. According to Angela Li, club officer and senior, the club members used colored pencils to create fruit drawings in various art styles. 

“The wide variety of different styles our members chose to utilize made each piece interesting despite all of them being fruit,” Li said. “Since every piece was super colorful and unique, we decided that it would be really cool to see our members’ hard work displayed in the library.” 

Li said the club officers hope to expose more teachers and students to more modern and trendy pieces. Li said the drawing activity helped demonstrate that still-life fruit drawings can be created with more creativity.

“The assortment of styles in each piece shows how diverse our school is,” Li said.

Andrew Murray, club sponsor and visual arts teacher, said, “It’s cool to have art showcases out there and see that people value it. I think it’s cool to see that there’s a place for people, in a school this big, to find this art community.” By Demi Zhang
