Li said, “The wide variety of different styles our members chose to utilize made each piece interesting despite all of them being fruit.”

Artist’s Association’s club officers are working with staff at the Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) to display art pieces created by the club members in the teens section, according to club officer and senior Aidan Shen. Shen said they plan to display them during April.

“Our goal with this exhibition is for it to be available to viewers outside of the school.” Shen said. “Since the CCPL gets a lot of visitors, we hoped it would increase the exposure compared to if it was displayed in the school library.”

Shen said one of the library staff members offered the club an opportunity to have a spring exhibition. Shen said the club officers hoped the community could have a look at the works of skilled artists in this school. Shen said the art pieces will be displayed on the Teens Art Wall in the teens section of the CCPL.

Andrew Murray, club sponsor and visual arts teacher, said, “We have done a variety of different things, and I know a lot of people in this club are busy and it’s a rough time of the year, but any opportunity that we can get with doing competitions or new materials or just something fun is good.” By Demi Zhang
