According to sponsor Jill Noel, UNICEF (United Nations International Chidren’s Emergency Foundation) Club officers will conduct interviews for president and vice president positions for the next school year and hold elections for secretary and treasurer positions.

“Elections for next year’s officers positions will be conducted in two ways,” UNICEF Club president Stephanie Wu said. “The current officers interview members of the club for the positions of president and vice-president, but secretary and treasurer positions will be decided by club members at the meeting. Those who wish to become secretary or treasurer are required to make a speech during the meeting.

Wu also said that the newly elected officers would be trained by current officers before the end of the school year through club events.

“People who are elected will help with the bakesale that we are planning to do at the very end of February. At the next meeting after the meeting with elections, we will rediscuss baking and buying goods to sell at the bakesale.” Wu said. “This next meeting is mostly about elections, and we will continue planning our events after that meeting.”
