On March 1, the men’s swimming team participated in the State tournament, placing fifth overall. After finishing a successful season, the swimmers will continue to swim throughout the year according to Head Coach Chris Plumb.
“The boys will continue to train and practice and most swim year round. Our seniors will go onto to swim in college,” Plumb said via email.
Senior Ben Burdick, who participated in the State tournament, will compete in another swim meet over the summer. “My goals at the beginning of the season were to make top eight in both of my individual events, and I made top eight in one of them, but I am happy with that. My goal now is to get a junior national cut for a meet in the summer,” he said via email.
As the swimming season comes to a close, Plumb voices his goals from the beginning of the season. He said, “Our goals were to swim well at the State meet and felt that we did that. Our boys battled valiantly, and we are all proud of their work and efforts.”
