The Women’s tennis team defeated Columbus North to continue the team’s undefeated streak on May 13.
“The girls really rose to the occasion,” Coach Mike Bostic said via email.
Lauryn Padgett, tennis player and sophomore, said the team has been playing really well.
“We’ve only dropped three individual matches and we’ve done very well all through the lineup,” Padgett said.
The team plays Hamilton Southeastern on May 14. Padgett says the team will never take it easy in practice.
“We always practice like we’re playing a match and never take it easy because we don’t want anyone working harder,” Padgett said.
“We have a lot of confidence since we’re undefeated and haven’t dropped more than one match or invite and we have a lot of confidence going into the state tournament,” Padgett said.
The team is 12-0 and has 2 invite wins. The team plays Hamilton Southeastern at the Todd Witsken Tennis Center on May 14.
