Although it is still early, NHS members are already preparing for their annual carnation sale in February.
According to NHS member and senior Anna Katsis, information regarding carnation sales will be released to NHS members on Nov. 4.
Although sale details are still in the works, this year’s NHS members hope to sell more carnations than they did last year. They hope that increased public relations through video announcements will help with this goal. According to NHS head sponsor Michele Satchwell, NHS members are hoping to shift the focus of the sales from getting flowers to giving them to those who deserve thanks.
“I think there’s a lot of people around here who we want to say ‘thank you’ to, but we don’t always have the right vehicle for it,” said Satchwell. “We want to make the carnation sale a way that you can say ‘thank you’ to other people in the building.”
