The CHS theater is to hold auditions for the spring musical, “Godspell.” According to director John Burlace, the show is a series of songs and moralistic stories taken from familiar Biblical references.
Sophomore Grace Plaskett plans to audition for the musical and said she was excited for the dance portion of the audition.
“I really would like to expand my musical horizons and I just think that this would be a great way to do that,” Plaskett said. “I’m involved in the choir department and the musical is always a big part of the choir department… I’d just think it’d be fun.”
“The structure of ‘Godspell’ is a little unorthodox, with all cast members being onstage and participating throughout the entire production,” Burlace said via email. “All member of the cast are very important to telling the story and all take the lead at one point or another.”
Cast members will perform the musical from May 12 through May 15. Tickets go on sale online March 23 and at the bookstore March 30.
