From Jan. 9 through March 5, the Carmel Clay Public Library will hold the Young Adult Winter Reading Program for students in grades 6-12.
The program will offer prizes for reading books, including a pair of earbuds for reading one book and an entry into a drawing for a $400 Amazon gift card for reading six books.
“What kind of books count? Any kind! Audiobooks, eBooks, paperbacks, hardcovers, graphic novels, fiction nonfiction… Also, what you read over Winter Break counts, too!” Young Adult Librarian Jamie Beckman said via email.
Sign-up begins Jan. 9 on the Teen page of the library’s website, but reading can begin over winter break.
In addition, according to Teen Library Council member Veeda Scammahorn, TLC will meet next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to discuss their upcoming Yule Ball.
