Club Med sponsor Alyssa Mastin talks with students in her principles of biomedical science class. She said, “Biomed and Club Med are very different, but I enjoy them both because of their general similarities.”

Club Med leaders said they are planning their next meeting after the success of their last meeting, which occurred February 26 after school. Sponsor Alyssa Mastin and co-president Kate Adaniya are not sure when the next meeting will be or what exactly they will do.

Adaniya said “We are still deciding what we want to do. The last meeting we had a plastic surgeon speak to the members and it was pretty interesting. I think that everyone was pretty engaged and interested in the information he presented about school and being a plastic surgeon.”

Both Adaniya and Mastin said they are looking forward to whatever they are going to do at the next meeting.

Mastin said, “(The club) has had a lot of interesting speakers come by. Usually we have medical students from IU come in, but, because he was a doctor, we were able to see a whole new perspective on things.”
