The Academic Super Bowl team will meet on March 1 at 4:30 p.m. via Zoom. At the meeting, the team plans to discuss the upcoming competition and go over individual subject team content.
According to club sponsor James Ziegler, the virtual meetings provide more flexibility.
“Not only is it safer to meet virtually with COVID-19, it is actually also more accessible,” Ziegler said. “In past years, it has always been very difficult to get everyone together right after school when not everyone drives and relies on the bus so meeting online just makes the most sense.”
Additionally, the Academic Super Bowl team will attend the area competition on April 20.
Ayaan Abbasi, Academic Super Bowl fine arts subject team captain and junior, said the fine arts subject team is deeply studying their content this year.
“(The fine arts team) has just finished going through all of the visual artists and is moving on to the musical artists this coming week,” Abbasi said via email. “This year, many of the people and works we are studying are materials that we already have some familiarity with, such as Beyonce, so we are trying to go really in-depth with our studying.”
