The womans’ varsity soccer team will play Sacred Heart, Ky. and Rocky River, Ohio at the Zionsville Lady Eagles Invite at the Zionsville Youth Soccer Association Field. CHS, as well as Sacred Heart and Rocky River are nationally ranked.
Head Coach Frank Dixon says that these opponents will be some of the hardest of the season, and will really test this school’s ability to play other high performing teams.
“(Rocky River and Sacred Heart have not) lost a game going into the Lady Eagles Invite. We are partnered with Evansville Memorial and our four team bracket has a combined record of 23-1-0. This may be the most difficult two game stretch of our season,” Dixon said via email.
In addition Dixon mentions that the overall goal of the team every year is to win the IHSAA 3A Girls State Finals.
Bethany Ducat, varsity soccer player and senior, said the team is confident about the next games.
“We have been watching film and learning from our mistakes in previous games, as well as practicing and conditioning,” Ducat said.
