Here’s December 2024 in under one minute.
December is known as the season of giving and celebration, with holidays taking center stage. Nationally, this year’s holiday shopping season saw a 5% increase in online sales compared to last year. Holiday travel also reached a record high, with over 120 million Americans traveling by plane, train, or car to visit loved ones.
The Christkindlmarket, a holiday market based on German-tradition, was a stand-out location during the winter season, featuring wooden stalls selling handmade ornaments, delicious treats, and an ice-skating rink.
Additionally, in Carmel, the Carmel High School’s choirs performed its annual Holiday Spectacular from December 4th to the 8th. The entire choir program, including over 500 students, participated in the performance, and the show completely sold out tickets for each night.
