Senior Krish Gajaria works on planning for the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society (Rho Kappa) callout meeting. The tentative date for this meeting is Monday, Sept. 22, after school.

Senior Krish Gajaria is currently working to revitalize a chapter of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society (Rho Kappa) at this school. Currently, he is working with club sponsor Allen Wheeler to finalize dates for a callout meeting. This meeting will be after a period of dormancy for the club.

“This is the first truly active year for Rho Kappa in a while, which means we have a unique opportunity to rebuild it from the ground up,” Gajaria said. “That gives students more chances for leadership, growth and shaping the direction of the chapter looking forward. I think it’s a really exciting moment because we’re not just continuing something, but creating something new and meaningful and we want to engage as many people as possible in the process.”

In addition, Wheeler is working with other teachers to organize the administrative tasks for the club.

“As this club ceased functioning last year, we are still in the nascent stage of how the rebuilding of it begins. Three teachers that will serve as a true council to help Rho Kappa this school year. More conversations will need to take place and then sometime soon, we can reach out to you about next steps,” he said.
