What was your favorite memory of rehearsals for Holiday Spectacular?

My favorite Spec memory from this year was the first mass rehearsal (with all the choirs), because I got to see all the people in choir that love the same things I do. It’s so fun to be with everybody and share a common interest and common goal. 

What’s your favorite song to perform in the show?

My favorite song to perform is “Little Drummer Boy,” because it’s (a kind of song) I’ve never really (gotten to perform) before, and we get to use a lot of percussion. It’s really fun; I really enjoy it.

What are your thoughts on the Holiday Spec theme being the Wonder of Winter this year?

I love the theme because I am Jewish, and when we perform a lot of Christmas (music), I feel like it can be exclusive sometimes. Since the theme is the Wonder of Winter, it really wraps everything together and brings out the holiday joy as a whole.

What was your favorite memory of rehearsals for Holiday Spectacular?

Definitely getting out choreography for the song “Ocho.” It’s a Latin song, and being able to really show the roots of the song is great; the dance that we do is so much fun, and I’m so excited for the audience to see it.

What’s your favorite song to perform in the show?

We have a song called “Janeman,” which is a Hindi song, and the dynamics are so interesting. It’s such a pretty song. It’s just nice to be able to sit there and take in the moment of the song. That’s why I really like that one.

What are your thoughts on the Holiday Spec theme being the Wonder of Winter this year?

The theme is so interesting this year. I love all the songs that have been put into it. It is a really long show, but you really never get bored at all, because every single song is different. The costumes are amazing. The Accents are doing a song they’ve never really done before, and Counterpoints and Greyhound Sound always (perform) the weirdest and most fun songs of the entire show. The lineup this year is really fun and just shows the wonder of winter.

What was your favorite memory of rehearsals for Holiday Spectacular?

The mass rehearsals (have been really fun). Getting to meet people from different choirs and getting to get closer with the Ambassadors and everybody else has been great.

What’s your favorite song to perform in the show?

My favorite song to perform is “Chiche Ester.” I really love when we go a capella, and you can hear everybody’s voice and all of us connecting onstage, and it’s very beautiful. I really enjoy that piece.

What are your thoughts on the Holiday Spec theme being the Wonder of Winter this year?

I love the Wonder of Winter, because I think winter is very wonderful and I like the snow. It’s a very nice thing that encompasses all different aspects of winter and the happiness and the joy that comes from winter.
