The Best Buddies Club will be attending the annual Friendship Ball at Newfields on Feb. 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.. The event is sponsored by Best Buddies Indiana and chapters from all across the state are invited to attend.
Cora Lammers, chapter president of Best Buddies and junior said she is looking forward to the Friendship Ball.
“It is a dressier, free event where buddy pairs can hang out, dress up (and) dance (since) there will be a DJ,” Lammers said. “(They can) do various activities and crafts, and meet friends in middle school and high school who are in Best Buddies.”
Belle Davis, Best Buddies social media manager, Friendship Walk coordinator and junior said the event is similar to a Homecoming dance.
