Cutline: Best Buddies members pose for a photo at the “Lucky to Have Friendship” Party on March 19, 2026. “(Best Buddies) is a significant commitment, but it is really gratifying and rewarding to be a part of that team,” Davis said.
Best Buddies will continue to fundraise in anticipation of the Friendship Walk, an event sponsored by Best Buddies Indiana. The Friendship Walk will take place on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Indianapolis.
Cora Lammers, chapter president of Best Buddies and junior, said her goal is for the Carmel Best Buddies chapter to raise $2,500 so they can have their own tent at the Friendship Walk.
“We’d love for many people to sign up to fundraise, even if they can’t attend (the Friendship Walk),” Lammers said.
Belle Davis, social media manager and Friendship Walk Coordinator said she hopes to fundraise more than the Westfield Best Buddies chapter.
“Fundraising for the Friendship Walk is very important because it allows us to not only do certain events with our chapter, but also to send officers to training camps to (learn how to) better lead,” Davis said.
Sponsor co-chair Kaitalyn Evans said she defers many club decisions to the officers and the students. By Charlotte Moser
