TEDx Club will have a conference on March 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carmel Clay Public Library. The speakers plan on talking about the theme of ‘How the Other Shoe Walks’.

TEDx Club sponsor Grant Benefiel stresses the importance that this conference will feel like a real TED talk.

“The most important part about being an official TEDx event is that it gives them the name of TED and when people see it is a TEDx conference and meeting.” Benefiel said.

Benefiel said the best way they can be prepared is to ensure that their speakers are prepared that is the most important part.

Blake Surfleet, TEDx Club president and senior said, “They aren’t missing anything and they are prepared and they don’t forget something.”

Surfleet said after school in E136 until 4:45 they will have two or three more meetings before the school year ends.

The TEDx Club is using its Instagram account in order to promote its upcoming conference.

“(We do this) for marketing purposes and to get that information out to the public and hopefully get more audience members.” Benefiel said. By Parker Kelso.
