At the halfway point of the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, this school’s School Resource Officers (SROs) have been busy attending school safety meetings. According to SRO Ashley Williams, these safety meetings are a routine part of the SROs’ activities, and they are instrumental to ensuring that this school is as secure and protected as possible.

“Basically, what (the SROs do) at those (safety meetings) is have kind of an agenda where there may be an issue and we have several SROs and administrators there,” Williams said. “We try to come up with solutions for those issues (such as the recently implemented privacy shades).”

Senior Ami Riggins said routine SRO meetings are a good idea to ensure school safety.

“Even just knowing that there are adults meeting to talk about ways to make schools safer is kind of comforting,” Riggins said. By Evelyn Foster
