According to Jana Cosler, Best Buddies sponsor and English teacher, the club is currently holding a toy drive for the Damar program.
“The program is for students and adults with severe disabilities who don’t fit into any other programs,” Cosler said. “We’re collecting toys until Nov. 30 for the drive.”
Craig Maude, Best Buddies activities officer and junior, said the club will accept new toys, which must be dropped off in Room E208, H105, A201 or A206.
The club will also hold a fundraiser at Max and Erma’s off Meridian Street on Dec. 5, Cosler said. Twenty percent of all sales from the day of the fundraiser will be donated to Best Buddies.
