The Scholastic Banquet will take place on April 16, according to PTO President Amy Kline. Also, the next PTO meeting will take place April 5 at 9 a.m. in the community room.
Students who are invited to the banquet are expected to be at the Ritz Charles by 6 p.m. Seniors can nominate a teacher to be recognized during the banquet. The guidance office will be providing the list of qualified students and will soon begin sending invitations.
“I’m really excited for (this banquet) and hope that it’ll go well,” Terry Ming, one of the qualified students and senior, said.
In addition, the Staff Appreciation Luncheon will take place three days after the Scholastic Banquet on April 19.
The meeting of March 6 was, according to Kline, “very very short,” particularly a discussion about the graduation, its schedule and “all the positive things happening in the building—whether it’d be sports, the band, the orchestra… higher tests scores and graduation rates.”
Kline also said 2012 will be the last time the Indiana State Fair Coliseum will be used for Gradefest, as it will be remodeled.
