Instead of having a dance competition, Global Giving is going to have a showcase because the number of people in Hip-Hop Club has decreased.
Co-president and junior Jessica Chiang said, “Since Hip-Hop Club isn’t as large as it used to be, we didn’t want to force anyone to dance if they didn’t want to. We might do something that isn’t a competition, but more of a showcase, so it’s not as much pressure.”
According to sponsor Ryan Ringenberg, the next meeting will be held on January 28. He says the main goal for the rest of the semester is planning out the big annual event.
Chiang said, “The showcase is going to be kind of like Open Mic Night, where you can do whatever talent you want, including dancing, This way more people can be included since it won’t be a competition.”
