Brain Game team has it’s next game against University High School on March 13, according to Joseph Nardi, club member and sophomore.
Nardi said he is confidant CHS’ team will beat University’s because of the team’s weekly practices at the media center. He said the team is faster at answering questions and members have an increased confidence in their abilities.
“At the beginning of the year, I didn’t really have the confidence to buzz in really, but now I know when I know it and I know when I don’t know something,” Nardi said.
Coach John Shearin said he agrees and that confidence is the biggest component in the continuation to see improvement at buzzing in and answering questions, but he did say students still need to have knowledge over the questions.
Shearin said, “The team needs four members to compete and play, but I bring in six just in case. It’s also because I want them to see and feel what it is like being there at the real thing. It helps them feel more confident.”
