According to Assistant Principal Joseph Schaller, Wi-Fi extenders are to be implemented during fall break. In addition, the E Room computer labs are also undergoing renovation that involves switching the desktop computers to laptops during fall break.

“Because there are certain areas in the school such as E hallways, business department, and physical education department, where students often lose connection to the internet, we are planning on implementing Wi-Fi range extenders to make it easier for everyone to get on the network.” Schaller said.

In addition to the new Wi-Fi range extenders, the E Room computer labs, located in rooms E215 and E118, are also going through a major renovation. The computer labs, which currently feature desktop computers, will be switched out for laptop computers. The reason for this switch, Schaller said, is to make room for classrooms that the school will need for next year.

According to senior Daniel Hao, the new Wi-Fi extenders will allow him to effectively use his own devices at school. “With more Wi-Fi, I’ll be able to bring and utilize my laptop more often during projects that require the use of the internet and when computer labs are taken by other classes,” he said.
