French Club is scheduled to go on a field trip to Mudbugs Cajun Cafe on Jan. 22. It is also working on recruitment.
French Club co-sponsor Lisa Carroll said, “Mudbugs is from New Orleans, so it’s a little spicy, and they use a little shrimp and crawfish and things like that.”
Carroll said she hopes French Club students will be able to experience food that is different than what they normally have on the field trip.
Shahyon Niese, French Club president and junior, said recruitment is an ongoing goal for club officers and members.
Niese said officers often talk to French classes about joining the club in order to boost attendance.
Carroll said, “(Recruitment) has not been going well. I think we’re just trying to get started after the holidays and figure out what we can do.”
