Jamie Beckman, Young Adult Section Librarian, corrects a flyer for the library’s events. The volunteering applications for the library are now open.
The Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) is looking for volunteers for its Teen Volunteer Corps. The volunteers could be used for events such as the Raider’s of the Arc, in which volunteers give their time to read books and give their opinions.
Jamie Beckman, young adult section librarian, said, “The library has a large volunteering base, however, specifically in September to October we need more volunteers because we have more events.”
Another volunteering event is the book sale. The CCPL has opened up volunteering for the book sale and is accepting applications. It will take place through Oct. 6 and Oct. 8.
Abby Carmichael, Teen Library Council member and junior said, “I’m looking forward to the events that the library is hosting this year.”
