Senior Class is inactive, officers plan to help for other events before graduation

The Senior Class is currently inactive; however, the officers themselves have been continuing to work. The next event that the Senior Class officers are responsible for is graduation; however, planning has yet to start. Senior Class Secretary Hannah Nist said, “We have not started to plan yet regarding graduation, but our next big thing we will probably work on is planning prom with the Junior Class officers.”

Once the date of Graduation starts approaching, the officers will start to take care of their responsibilities. According to Nist, each officer will be responsible for a different speaking role in the ceremony, as well as some planning; however, they’ve yet to receive the specifics of their planning.

Along with the Senior Class officers, the Senior Class sponsors have yet to start planning for graduation. Senior Class sponsor Joe Steele said, “We have really not started planning yet, other than the venue and the date. It’ll probably start getting planned around April, which is when we’ll start taking care of food and organizational things, but until then, we are dormant.”

Until then, Nist said that the main goal the officers have is to promote school spirit and finish strong in second semester. Nist said, “The goal is to unite the Senior Class as we finish up our last semester together. Every event is an opportunity to make new memories, and it’s important especially as of now with the short time we have left.” By Leah Tan
