Sophomore Melissa Su and junior Hannah Liu work on their project in preparation for ICDC during lunch. ICDC took place from April 27-30.
Students who competed at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Fla. returned on May 1. According to Laura Cardamon, DECA co-sponsor and business teacher, the conclusion of ICDC marked the end of the club’s competition season.
“Competition-wise, we are pretty much done for the year. Now each class is wrapping up any projects or assignments before the end of the school year,” Cardamon said. “We are very proud of all of our students and their accomplishments this past year.”
Sophomore Melissa Su said she is proud of all the hard work that she has put into DECA —including her efforts at ICDC— and is excited for next year’s competition season.
“I really enjoyed DECA this year,” Su said. “It was a lot of work to prepare for all of the competitions, but in the end, we all did extremely well.” By Natalie Khamis
