Senior Elijah Jones reads a book from the library.
Throughout the month of February, the media center will be implementing new resources for students enrolled in Carmel High School’s Financial Literacy class, a requirement starting with the Class of 2028. According to Terri Ramos, Department Chair and Media Specialist, the library department will be partnering with Financial Literacy teacher Dakota Novak to find resources.
Ramos said she recently received new books about financial literacy and Novak was extremely qualified to be supplying assistance.
She said, “The library’s role as a whole is to support the curriculum, whether that’s with databases, whether it’s with print books, whether it’s with a gallery walk. We offer all sorts of different things to support in different ways.”
Senior Elijah Jones said that he thinks the library has many great resources that are useful to students.
He said, “I have used the library a couple of times to find resources for specific things for my classes, so it’s very important.” By Wynne BruBaker
