According to Joe Pfister, vice president of the CHS Band Boosters, the four jazz bands at this school will be performing in an event called “Jazz at the Ritz” at the Ritz Charles on March 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Pfister said the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and desserts and soft drinks will be served while the Swing Dance Club provide swing-dance lessons before the show begins.
“We would like to invite all CHS students, their families, and the entire Carmel and Indianapolis communities to this special, off-site event,” he said via e-mail.
Tickets went on sale on March 3, but can still be purchased for $15 at the bookstore or online at www.jazzritz.eventbrite.com. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
Students can also catch the four jazz bands practicing near the Dale E. Graham auditorium every day before school this week.
Pfister said, “This is sure to be a special event, with dancing and jazz that everyone will enjoy.” By Emma Neukam <[email protected]>
