The next Science Olympiad meeting is scheduled for Sept. 28 after school in Room B222.
At the last meeting, sponsor Fran Rushing gave out forms to the members to fill out with information about themselves, a code of conduct and a sheet to take home to their parents that explains dues.
She said, “Right now their job is to have all that filled out and signed and to bring it back with their dues. Then I will give them a rule book and they can start looking at all the different events that are listed there and they can choose which ones they’d like to focus on for the year.”
According to Rushing, at the next meeting, the officers are going divide up all 23 events and have the stations around the room for each event. At the stations, members will ask questions or hear explanations of how the events work.
Testing will also begin in the meeting on Oct. 12, which is the next meeting after Sept. 28.
