DECA officers will have their first officer meeting on Sept. 29 during the second session of SRT.

“The officers will be discussing their plans and goals for this year as well as preparing for National DECA week, which will take place during the second week of October,” DECA sponsor Janice Brown said.

According to Brown, the officers elected for the 2011-2012 school year include senior Nick Muller as president; senior Jake McCormick as vice president; senior Brad Kremer as secretary; senior Elliott Browning as treasurer; and junior Yoel Bublick as reporter. Brown said the class representatives are senior Josh Abuaita, junior Naya Ankersen, senior Ellie Beasley, senior Julia Bernardi, junior Joe Gralak, Chris Johnson, senior Lane Meisenhelder, sophomore Evan Morris, junior Riley Pelton, senior Katie Pittman and junior Haley Weiss. All of these officers will are required to attend the officers meeting.

“During the officer meeting, we will be doing T-shirt designs, planning fundraisers, and working on workshops for DECA state,” Kremer said.
