According to club sponsor James Ziegler, the Do Something Club will collaborate with the Four Square Club again this year to hold another “Pay to Play” tournament this year to raise money toward relief efforts in Kenya.
“We started planning our first fundraiser, which was our ‘Four Square Pay to Play,’ which is going to be taking place Tuesday, Oct. 18,” Ziegler said.
According to him, entry will cost $2, and the Do Something Club members will sell concessions to help raise more money.
Co-president and junior Hunter Leonard said Do Something Club members want to make fleece blankets for battered women’s shelters in Indianapolis and have another holiday party at the Day Spring Center. Leonard said members will make the fleece blankets on Oct. 25. He said the holiday party does not have a solid date but will take place in December.
