The next meeting for Spanish Club will take place on Nov. 1, according to sponsor Kay Vazquez. During the meeting, officers will plan the event for November with the members.
“We just recently finished a project that was very successful,” Vazquez said. “The officers proposed the idea to make charity bags for the kids in Guatemala, and it really helped bring the club together.
Lindsey Walker, president of the Spanish Club and junior, hopes to plan another triumphant event after seeing how well the charity bags unified the club and also helped children in Guatemala.
“We will also probably get t-shirts to everyone who ordered one. The design was the same as last year,” Walker said. “The shirt is white and on the front, they say, ‘¿Como se llama?’ along with a picture of a blue llama.”
