Creative Writing Contest literary magazine now available

Copies of the Creative Writing Contest literary magazine are now available in the media center, English office  or Room E148, according to Jerry Brickley, Creative Writing Club sponsor. Creative Writing Club members completed the magazine, titled Reflections, on Feb. 27. The magazine is free.

“The first few pages (of the magazine) are devoted to the people who won prizes and then it is really kind of randomized as to where they show up,” Brickley said.

According to Kinza Abbas, vice president and sophomore, Creative Writing Club members helped with the final editing.

Now that the club members have wrapped up this magazine, they can start discussing the creation of another magazine with only the club members’ works. Brickley said that he doesn’t expect this magazine to be done until sometime in April. In the upcoming meetings, club members will discuss the guidelines of this new magazine.

Club members have also taken club pictures so they can make locker signs. They are working on pass around stories where one member takes the story home and writes a chapter and then gives it to the next member.
