Model U.N. members will have one last meeting Thursday, March 8 to go over general procedures for the IUPUI conference on March 13 and 14. They will depart from school on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., go home, and return to school on the next day to leave for the conference again.

“On Wednesday we’ll leave from school in the morning, as soon as the buses get here,” club sponsor Tracy Hadden said.

Model U.N. members will not return for school on Wednesday. Hadden said members should attend Thursday’s meeting to hear all of the procedures on the transportation and conference itself.

Senior and club member Nikhil Dharan said he feels prepared for the conference.

“My partner and I are strong in our positions and I feel we’ll do really well (at the conference),” he said.

Hadden said she feels that this year’s Model U.N. members will represent CHS well.

“Carmel always does well,” she said. “The kids here tend to have an enthusiasm and an interest in the subject, so they’re usually very dedicated.”
