This Thursday, the Astronomy Club will have their first public show of the year from 7 to 8 p.m. at CHS. It is free to every one of all ages and there should be plenty of sights to see.
Club president Yanying Chen says she is very excited about the new year and new club members.
“The Astronomy Club is all about hand on and physical activities, compared to biology where you do worksheets and aren’t able to get the full experience” Chen said. “We have an opportunity with our telescope to see awesome sights happening in space.”
The club is long known for their public shows, and sponsor William Turner and other club members said it’s best to see yourself.
“When you are able to see sights from space yourself, it’s unlike anything else,” Turner said. “Come out to our public show and experience yourself.”
