AVID to have study session before finals

AVID is expected to have a study session for the final exams, although the exact details are still uncertain. The study session should be sometime in the week before the semester exams. Teachers will be there to help answer questions that students may have about their core classes and other popular electives.

AVID site coordinator Shannon Woodson stated that she and the other AVID leaders still need to finalize the details for the event.

“We’ve talked about making a study session… in the evening,” said Woodson. “It’s intended to give (AVID members) an opportunity to work in small groups and ask content area teachers about questions that they have.”

AVID senior leader Meredith Missler said that the study session still needs to be coordinated among the teachers expected to be there.

“We have to work around the teachers schedule but we’re hoping to have all of the AVID site team there,” said Missler via email. “We just want people in AVID to come to AVID events.”
