Ambassadors will perform at the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) Choral Festival on Oct. 1 at 6.30 p.m at the Indiana State University Tilson Music Hall. According to Elizabeth Palmer, member of Ambassadors and senior, students will leave from CHS at 6:45 a.m. and rehearse all day with schools from around the state.
According to Palmer, Ambassadors will perform “Skip to My Loo” individually as a school. They will perform multiple songs with the other schools, which include “Adorable Flujo,” “Lux Aeterna” and “Kyrie.
Lamonte Kuskye, choral director of Ambassadors, said the students have been working hard to prepare. “(Ambassadors) have morning rehearsals, usually on Thursday or Friday, depending on when the choreographers come. There are also sectionals once a week,” Kuskye said.
“I know we’ll be working really hard the entire day, but I’m excited to meet new people and work with different directors and teachers,” Palmer said. “What I expect is that it will be a long day full of music and fun.”
