ASL Club plans to have its next meeting on March 6. Although the club currently does not have any events planned, Katie Connery, ASL Club President and senior, said she knows what purpose she wants the upcoming events to serve.
Club Sponsor Joseph Wheeler said, “We have not set up another event yet. That’s what we will be deciding at our next meeting.”
“(The) events should teach the members to use their signing abilities outside of just school and class and use them in the real world, while also being able to communicate and hangout with all of our ASL friends,” Connery said.
Wheeler said he hopes the planned events will help students learn more about diversity and enjoy the cross culture.
