The upcoming Carmel Connects club meeting will take place on Sept. 23. Every Monday, members of the club repurpose computers for non-profit facilities.
Sponsor Margaret Winans said, “We install brand-new operating systems and free software, such as anti-virus and security software, and prepare them for Net Literacy, who distributes them.”
Junior Daniel Isenberg repurposes computers during a Carmel Connects club meeting. Carmel Connects meets every Monday in Room F104.
According to its website, Net Literacy is a non-profit organization that promotes computer literacy and donates computers.
Pelle Wrammerfors, club member and sophomore, said, “After we repurpose the computers, Net Literacy distributes them to less privileged people, libraries, schools, churches and other qualified non-profit organizations.”
Students who are interested in joining Carmel Connects can either visit Winans in Room F104 or talk to current club members. By Lianne Yu
