Anime Club will have its next meeting on Sept. 30 in the large group instruction (LGI) room after school. At the meeting, members plan to discuss ways to use the money raised from the club’s Homecoming booth to fund club activities.
Yanying Chen, Anime Club president and senior, said “At our homecoming booth, we (sold) smoothies, some homemade products like macaroons and rice krispies, and little handmade crafts. With the money, we have to continue getting the food (for the club meetings).”
According to club sponsor Rita Winters, the club will also continue with its weekly activities along with trying to pay for its food.
Winters said, “They watch movies, and they draw, and they eat.”
Although the club has met several times already, Chen said it is always open to new members.
She said, “We welcome new members all year now. You just come, sit down and watch anime.”
