DECA will have a fundraiser on Oct. 15 at City Barbeque. A portion of the sales will go to DECA if customers mention the club.

According to DECA sponsor Laura Cardamon, DECA members will spread the word about the fundraiser through social media. Also, they will hand out fliers and mention the fundraiser on the announcements.

The City Barbeque fundraiser, according to Cardamon, is one of many fundraisers DECA plans to conduct. DECA aims to conduct a fundraiser every month this year in order to collect more funds for competition fees and other expenses.

“I think (the fundraiser) is a great idea,” Cardamon said. “It’ll help us with costs for DECA state and nationals.”

Mitchell Morfas, DECA president and senior, said he is excited for the fundraiser and hopes many people will participate.

“Everyone should come out to it,” Morfas said. “As many people as we can get to come out to it would be awesome.”
