“We were truly, truly happy with how the kids worked,” DECA sponsor Laura Cardamon said.

According to Cardamon, students will prepare for the state competition by taking practice tests and working on their business plans for their events.

Alec Imaizumi, DECA member and senior, qualified for the state and international DECA competitions last year. Imaizumi said he prepared for his event by practicing his presentation in front of people who could give him constructive criticism.

Imaizumi said he had a very positive experience at the state and international competitions.
