According to Mike Meyer, sponsor for Fantasy Sports Club, the club will have a fantasy draft for the upcoming NCAA tournament at the beginning of March, also known as March Madness. Meyer says that this is the largest draft of the school year, because more people are into March Madness than any other fantasy draft.

“Due to the hype and excitement for March, this is usually our largest draft of the year. Last year, we had about twice as many newcomers at the NCAA draft than usual, and it was very exciting. I am hoping for a huge amount of freshmen this year.” Meyer said.

According to club president and senior Zach Roop, the meeting will be in Room H122 during the first week of March because the club wants to have the draft as close to the real tournament as possible. Roop says that the club wants to host the drafts as close to the actual events as possible because then the members have a better idea of what they want their teams to be like.

“We welcome new people to every meeting, and I hope that a lot more people will come out for our March Madness draft.” Meyer said.
