West Clay Elementary fifth graders will sell lemonade in Carmel High School’s cafeterias on Friday, May 16, according to a flier posted on Carmel High School’s website, as part of the school’s annual Lemonade Day.
According to LemonadeDay.org, Lemonade Day was launched in Houston 2007 as a means to “empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs through helping them start, own and operate their very own business,” and has grown to involve over 200,000 children.
West Clay students’ lemonade will cost $0.50 to $2.00 per glass and will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
