After placing second at the Winter Guard International (WGI) World Championship competition and performing in the school-wide performing arts competition, Lucy Cottrell, guard member and junior, said the guard has concluded its season.

“This season has been a very fun season, and I’m really proud of where we are now,” Cottrell said.

According to sponsor Rosie Queen, everyone else is already working toward a repeat of this year’s high places and scores at the Bands of America Grand National Championships and Winter Guard International Color Guard Championships by sorting through equipment and working on dance skills before tryouts for the fall season begin. Guard member and junior Makenna Cook said she is looking forward to the beginning of next season.

“Nothing is holding us back this year,” she said.
