The men’s tennis Sectional has been rescheduled to Sept. 30. The men’s team will play tonight and Head Coach Mike Bostic said the team is prepared to win the Sectional. Bostic said, “I am confident that the team is ready to defend its 2010 Sectional championship.”
According to Bostic, of the teams Carmel will face, Guerin is going to be one of their biggest challenges. “Guerin is ranked 11th, and we don’t know much about them, so we will need to be focused and ready to play,” he said.
Elliot Yee, captain and senior, said, “The teams are doing really well. We’re on the right track for success. Personally, I am getting more mentally prepared, practicing mental situations on court and I am hitting more and getting pumped to play in the playoffs.”
According to Yee, the team has bonded more recently. “We are very experienced in playoff season,” he said. “Since the Sectional tournament is at home, we want more people to come out to it and support the team.”
