The women’s basketball team defeated Hamilton Heights 67-63 in the second game of the season at home, giving them a 2-0 record. The team’s next game is scheduled for Nov. 23 at Terre Haute North. The team’s next home game is scheduled for Dec. 5 against Warren Central.
According to Head Coach Scott Bowen, team members are putting most of their focus on the fundamentals at this point in the season. Bowen also said that the team’s overall rebounding must improve.
Varsity player and sophomore Celene Funke said she is excited for the rest of the season. “We are working hard each practice and are improving as a team,” Funke said.
“We are very confident with our young ladies this year. We know that if we execute and carry out our game plans we should have a great opportunity to win each game,” Bowen said.
