Wiley has been teaching Swing Club members for five years, but she plans to move to Australia to start the first CRU at a high school level there.

“It has been my dream to start this for a while, and I am very excited to finally be able to do it,” Wiley said.

With Wiley leaving, the Swing Club members are sad, but happy for her.

Co-president and senior Alex Bissell said, “I felt that she was an excellent teacher, and I will miss her greatly. She taught us everything, and she is a lot better than us, but I feel that we’ll still be okay. (She’s) made the past years fun and been a great influence on us. We’ll definitely miss her greatly.”

Co-president and senior Shea Rhoutsong agrees with Bissell in that the members will miss Wiley.

She said, “She helped us all a lot. Not only in our moves, but in enjoying ourselves.”

“I am sad to leave, but I am very excited to take this opportunity,” Wiley said. “To all of the members now, it’s not all about learning the moves. It’s about keeping your head up with a smile on your face and enjoying what you’re doing. And to the students who are not in the club, I think you should definitely try (the Swing Club). It is a different and fun style of dancing that many people will find that they enjoy.”
